Borboletário Tropical de Constância
The Borboletário Tropical de Constância is a greenhouse in the Environmental Park where tropical butterflies fly freely in warm, humid conditions among exotic plants. The space resembles a miniature rainforest with carefully arranged vegetation and natural-looking sections.
The butterfly garden opened in June 2013 as part of an environmental education and conservation initiative. It was created to demonstrate butterfly biology and ecology while raising awareness about protecting these important insects.
The name reflects its location within the Environmental Park and focus on tropical butterfly species. Visitors watch these insects move freely between flowers and plants, feeding on nectar and displaying their wing patterns.
Visits require advance reservation with a maximum of 12 people per session and tours lasting about 45 minutes. Wear comfortable shoes and light clothing as you walk through the humid greenhouse and explore the surroundings.
The greenhouse maintains tropical conditions year-round, allowing visitors to see exotic butterflies in any season regardless of outside weather. This makes it a reliable destination for nature observers and school groups throughout the year.
