Mad Maze, Outdoor leisure park in Larnas, France
Mad Maze is an outdoor leisure park featuring a wooden labyrinth built across two levels with five towers and six entrances. The structure occupies roughly 12,000 square meters (130,000 square feet) of forest land and includes multiple exit points.
The park was built in southern Ardèche and introduced a new approach to outdoor entertainment by combining natural forest with structured wooden architecture. This design concept emerged from a desire to create something different for visitors exploring the region.
The food service here works with local Ardèche farmers and producers to prepare meals using regional ingredients. This connection to the land gives visitors a sense of how the area supports its community through agriculture.
The park opens from April through November and allows visitors to explore at their own pace regardless of age. It makes sense to wear comfortable shoes and allow time for walking between different areas of the site.
The maze includes optical tricks built into the wooden structure that deliberately confuse visitors as they navigate. Beyond finding the way through, guests can also encounter physical challenges such as zip lines and climbing blocks.
