Jardin des Trains Ardéchois, Model railway theme park in Soyons, France.
Jardin des Trains Ardéchois is a model railway park spanning around 2800 square meters where miniature trains travel through stations, tunnels, and artificial waterways. The layout is surrounded by around 900 bonsai trees and some 1000 figurines that recreate everyday scenes and activities.
The park was founded in 1991 by a retired railway worker and was revived in 2008 when younger entrepreneurs took over management. This transition brought fresh energy and investment to the site.
The miniature layouts depict regional landmarks such as Pont d'Arc, Mont Gerbier de Jonc, and Castle Crussol with careful attention to detail. Visitors can spot these recognizable places reimagined at a tiny scale throughout the gardens.
The park is best explored by walking slowly and carefully to observe all the details of the miniature scenes. It helps to allow extra time and pause at different viewpoints to watch the trains in motion.
Around 12 model trains run on a total of approximately 750 meters of track throughout the entire layout. Sound systems reproduce authentic railway sounds from different historical periods as the trains move through the scenes.
