Jungle Jim's
Jungle Jim's is a theme park in Sussex County that includes a waterpark, mini golf, and batting cages for visitors of all ages. The waterpark is among the largest in Delaware and features multiple water slides and pools for summer enjoyment.
The park was founded in the 1970s and became well known in the local area. Recently, a large new water slide was added and former go-kart tracks were removed to reduce noise for neighboring residents.
The park has been known as Jungle Jim's since the 1970s and holds memories for generations of local families who visit during warmer months. Children and parents gather at the rides and game areas, creating a community atmosphere where people return year after year for the same relaxed outdoor experience.
The park operates from late spring through early fall and outside coolers are not permitted, though one water bottle per person is allowed. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes, carry minimal personal items, and prepare their bags for inspection at the entrance for security purposes.
A remarkably tall new water slide exceeding 60 feet was constructed and required special permission since it surpasses the town's height limit of 42 feet. This addition demonstrates the park's commitment to staying competitive while maintaining dialogue with the local community.
