Grotte de la Salamandre

The cave extends across 150 meters in length and 100 meters in width, featuring numerous mineral formations throughout its underground chambers and passages.

Local woodcutters knew of the cave's existence before its formal discovery in 1965 by spelunkers from Uzès and Nîmes, leading to public access in 2013.

The cave hosts summer concerts with classical, baroque, and folk music performances, creating natural acoustics within its limestone chambers.

The cave maintains a constant temperature of 13 degrees Celsius, requiring visitors to bring warm clothing for the 55-minute guided tour through 500 meters.

Visitors can experience the Grand Rappel, a 50-meter descent into the cave, or try the Aeroplume system for suspended flight inside the cavern.
