Seebad
Seebad is a beach and leisure area on a lake in Zülpich with restaurants and various water-related activities. The wide sandy shore meets calm water and is surrounded by open space where visitors can walk, relax, or enjoy meals at outdoor terraces.
Zülpich developed as a town known for its natural water features and bodies of water. Seebad emerged as a leisure destination to serve the community's long-standing connection to water-based recreation and outdoor enjoyment.
The name Seebad reflects the area's longtime connection to water and leisure. Today it serves as a gathering place where visitors enjoy live concerts, holiday brunches, and evening events that bring the community together by the shore.
A large parking area sits close to the entrance and the site is easy to navigate for visitors with mobility needs. Elevators connect different sections, and you can dine on sunny outdoor terraces when weather permits, though reservations are recommended for Sunday brunches.
The area features a flying fox park, the only one of its kind in the region, where visitors can glide over the water at speeds up to 40 km/h (25 mph). This unusual attraction gives people the sensation of flying while taking in views of the lake and wooded landscape below.
