Pipeline

The Pipeline is a path that runs from the harbor in Bregenz to the Lochau lido along Lake Constance. The area consists of paved sections, concrete surfaces, and sandy coves that enable various activities.

The site was originally the location of an underground oil pipeline that operated until 1997. After its closure, the area was redesigned and converted into a public recreational space.

The location serves as a gathering spot where people come to swim and spend time by the water. You see families, couples, and groups enjoying the proximity to the lake and spending warm days at the beach.

The path has multiple entry points and is designed for both walkers and cyclists, with separate areas to improve safety. The surface varies between paved and unpaved sections, so pay attention to your footwear and conditions.

A newly built wooden jetty was constructed in 2011 and creates an additional access point to the water. This structure is a popular spot for lingering and offers a different perspective of the lake compared to other beach sections.
