Granattor

The Granattor is a modern structure on the Millstätter Alpe at approximately 2000 meters elevation, serving as a waypoint within the mountain landscape. It stands where multiple hiking trails meet and offers sightlines across the surrounding ridges and valleys of the region.

Built in 2009, this structure became a marker point along the established hiking routes through the eastern Alpine region. It was created as part of infrastructure development to help orient visitors within this mountain terrain.

Most visitors reach the structure via a circular route of about 8 kilometers from Lammersdorfer Hütte with an elevation gain of around 450 meters. The terrain can become challenging in poor weather, so warm, weatherproof clothing and sturdy footwear are essential.
