La Source, Campground in Thérondels, France
La Source is a campground at the entrance of the Laussac Peninsula with 122 camping spots and 62 rental units positioned along Lake Sarrans. The site spans several hectares and offers a mix of tent pitches and more comfortable lodging options for different guests.
The campground was founded as tourism infrastructure in northern Aveyron and helped connect the Aubrac and Cantal regions. Its creation modernized visitor facilities in this formerly remote area.
The on-site restaurant serves regional dishes like truffade and aligot, allowing visitors to discover the traditional cooking of Aveyron through daily meals. The food reflects local eating habits and connects the stay with regional flavors.
The site operates from June to September and features a heated pool, laundry facilities, and an on-site grocery store. Guests with disabilities have access to dedicated facilities to support their stay.
The water park features a 40 meter water slide and floating inflatable structures with direct views over Lake Sarrans from the swimming area. These water attractions give visitors a place to swim and play while overlooking the lake.
