Planesses Yourte is a yurt campground with five Mongolian dwellings spread across 11 hectares of natural terrain in the Hautes Vosges mountains. The property also includes a fishing pond and provides lodging surrounded by mountain scenery.
The site brought traditional Mongolian nomadic housing to the French countryside and adapted it to modern tourism needs. Original construction techniques were preserved while integrating the structures into a contemporary setting.
The site introduces guests to nomadic living through circular structures that echo centuries of Mongolian architectural traditions. The round design and traditional construction methods offer visitors a chance to experience how people once organized their daily lives differently.
Each yurt accommodates 4 to 6 people and comes with bed linens, heating, a wood stove, and outdoor grill areas. Shower facilities are available throughout the property.
