Camping Koawa Ramstein Plage, Recreational campground in Baerenthal, France.
Camping Koawa Ramstein Plage is a recreational facility sprawling across 12 hectares of green space next to a leisure lake within the Regional Natural Park of Northern Vosges. The grounds contain 142 pitches with different accommodation types, ranging from basic tent spots to equipped mobile homes.
The facility emerged during the early expansion of outdoor tourism in the Moselle region of France and has continuously existed since then. Its setting within a protected natural area shaped the place from the beginning.
The campground brings together visitors from France and Germany because of its position near the border between the two countries. People from both sides meet here to share time outdoors and experience local traditions.
The site is open from April through September with facilities to suit different visitor needs. The warmest months offer the best conditions for swimming and participating in water-based activities.
The property includes a heated outdoor swimming pool and direct beach access to the recreational lake. This combination of amenities and water access makes it particularly suited to families wanting warm water beyond peak season.
