Sole d'Oru, Coastal campground in Solaro, France
Sole d'Oru is a coastal campground in eastern Corsica with approximately 50 shaded pitches nestled in natural Mediterranean landscape. The site sits directly adjacent to an undeveloped beach where guests can access the water immediately.
The site was established in the second half of the 20th century when the eastern Corsican coast began opening to camping tourism. This development allowed more people to experience the coastal area in a different way.
The site serves local food and creates occasions for visitors to experience how people here value their coastal location and Mediterranean surroundings. These gatherings show how the region maintains its connection to the sea and the land beyond the beach itself.
The campground operates from mid-April through late September and provides basic amenities for campers. Direct beach access means swimming and water activities are just a few steps away.
Each pitch receives natural shade from Mediterranean plants and offers direct views of the sunrise over the Tyrrhenian Sea. Waking up to these morning views across the water is something guests remember about their stay here.
