Éco-camping Le Cun, Ecological campground in Millau, France.
Eco-camping Le Cun is a campsite spread across one hectare of shaded land within a larger nature reserve in the Grands Causses Regional Park. The grounds contain about 50 large plots and are surrounded by boxwood, Scots pines, and downy oak trees.
The site was established in 1995 as part of developing sustainable tourism in the Grands Causses Regional Park. Its creation reflected a desire to offer outdoor recreation while protecting the natural environment of the region.
The site serves as a meeting point where visitors can discover local crafts and products made by farmers and artisans from the Larzac plateau. People come here to experience how residents of the region still work with traditional methods and materials.
The site operates from April through October and offers about 50 plots with generous sizes and wheelchair-accessible facilities. Motor vehicles are not permitted on the grounds, so arriving on foot or using alternative means of access is the norm.
The grounds are protected as part of the nature reserve and host native tree species like Scots pine and downy oak that grow naturally in this region. The absence of vehicles allows visitors to truly experience the woodland flora and fauna without disturbance.
