Les Pastourels, Camping ground in Veyrines-de-Domme, France
Les Pastourels is a campsite spread across roughly 12 hectares of forested land with oak trees, walnut groves, and open pastures near the Dordogne River. The site contains 55 camping pitches, 12 static caravans, 2 wooden chalets, and maintains reception hours three times daily.
The site was established to preserve its natural landscape, maintaining this character over time. It reflects the traditional agricultural landscape of the Périgord Noir region.
The location sits within a region famous for its medieval castles and traditional village markets. Visitors use this base to explore the ancient settlements and historical landmarks scattered throughout the Dordogne Valley.
The site operates from May through October and sits conveniently between the towns of Sarlat and Belvès. Visitors should plan ahead since the location has limited capacity and can fill quickly during peak season.
Guests can join guided walking tours through walnut groves while spotting wildlife such as roe deer in their natural setting. These activities offer a rare chance to experience the local fauna in a relaxed way.
