Camping Les Vaudois, Mountain campground in Les Vigneaux, France.
Camping Les Vaudois is a seven-hectare wooded site on both banks of the Gyronde River, with 108 spacious pitches nestled in natural Alpine surroundings. The facility includes river access, barbecue areas, and refrigerator rentals for guests.
Andre Trigano founded this campground in 1970 as part of his vision for outdoor hospitality in the French Alps. This established the foundation for modern camping development in the Alpine region.
The site serves as a starting point for exploring over 700 hiking and cycling routes that connect to traditional Alpine activities and local mountain culture.
The site operates from mid-May to mid-September and provides direct river access for fishing and water activities. Its location on both riverbanks means some areas require crossing, so plan accordingly.
The site sits directly next to Les Ecrins National Park, making it possible to reach Alpine wildlife and geological formations on foot. This proximity allows guests to encounter mountain scenery moments away from their pitch.
