EXO 49 / Anjou Wake Park, Water park in Notre-Dame-d'Allençon, France
EXO 49 is a water sports facility with two cable systems spanning 550 meters total, featuring eleven modular obstacles for wakeboarding, water skiing, and kneeboarding. The setup allows beginners and advanced participants to train on separate systems designed for their skill level.
The facility introduced cable skiing to the Anjou region and grew to become a major water sports destination near Angers following its establishment. It developed into a hub for both professional training and recreational activities in the sport.
The park maintains connections with the French Water Skiing and Wakeboarding Federation, contributing to the development of water sports in the Loire Valley region.
The park operates from April through October and offers equipment rentals, coaching, and separate systems for different skill levels starting at age seven. Weather conditions can affect operations during the season, so visiting during favorable periods is recommended.
The facility houses an internal workshop that manufactures custom-welded plastic modules, allowing the obstacle course to be regularly updated and modified. This capability means the course can continuously adapt to new techniques and rider preferences.
