Termy Poddębice, Water park in Poddębice, Poland.
Termy Poddębice is a thermal water park in the town of Poddębice in central Poland, with multiple indoor and outdoor pools. The water is drawn from natural geothermal springs underground and distributed across pools kept at different temperatures.
Deep drilling carried out in the region uncovered a source of warm thermal water, which led to the creation of this facility. Over time the site grew and became the main point of interest for visitors to the area.
The pools draw families and groups from nearby towns who come to spend a full day together in and around the water. Weekends tend to bring the most visitors, giving the place a lively social energy that is easy to notice.
The complex sits on the edge of Poddębice and is most easily reached by car, with parking available on site. Weekdays tend to be much quieter than weekends, so visiting then gives more room to move between the pools.
The thermal water here rises from a depth of around 1,800 m (about 5,900 ft) below the surface, making it one of the deepest geothermal sources used for public bathing in Poland. It also carries a high concentration of natural minerals, which gives the water a slightly salty taste.
