DeDAKKAS
DeDAKKAS is a rooftop dining space in Haarlem housed in multiple glass structures that offer views of the surrounding cityscape. The kitchen prepares meals using seasonal ingredients and products sourced from local suppliers.
This establishment emerged from a contemporary urban redevelopment project that converted former industrial spaces into a dining destination above Haarlem. The transformation brought new life to a previously underused part of the city.
The kitchen draws on Dutch culinary traditions by sourcing from regional producers and highlighting seasonal ingredients in its menus. Diners experience local flavors served in a contemporary setting that feels connected to the region.
The restaurant welcomes guests from Tuesday through Sunday, with service extending past midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Advance reservations are advised, especially for dinner service to ensure seating.
Glass houses built into the rooftop allow diners to watch sunsets over the dunes in any weather without exposure to rain or wind. These enclosed spaces preserve the outdoor feeling while providing shelter.
