The Landing, Restaurant and bar in Midtown Manhattan, US
The Landing is a restaurant and bar on the second level of the Penn 1 building in Midtown Manhattan, close to Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. The main dining room shares the floor with a lounge area, a bar counter, and two private dining rooms for smaller groups.
The Landing was opened by DMK, a hospitality group led by David Morton, whose family built a name in the restaurant business through the Morton Steakhouse brand. It was set up in the Penn 1 building, a commercial tower that grew out of the redevelopment of the Penn Station area.
The restaurant is on the second floor of Penn 1 and can be reached directly from street level, which makes it easy to access for anyone passing through the Penn Station area. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with midday being the busiest time of day.
The kitchen is led by chef Brian Huston, who has received a James Beard Award nomination, one of the most recognized honors in American cooking. His menu brings together dishes like burrata with heirloom tomatoes and grilled focaccia alongside more familiar American options like a crispy shrimp Po Boy.
