Pantai Gesing

The coastline of Pantai Gesing extends between two limestone cliffs, presenting white sand beaches and waters from the southern Java sea.

The development of Pantai Gesing as a tourist destination began with local fishermen establishing a small port for their traditional fishing activities.

Local fishermen maintain their traditions by selling fresh catches at the nearby fish market, where visitors can purchase seafood for preparation at adjacent food stalls.

Visitors can reach the beach through two routes: the Imogiri-Panggang path taking one to two hours, or the longer Wonosari route requiring over two hours.

A wooden observation bridge constructed between the coastal cliffs provides elevated viewpoints for watching fishing activities and marine life below.
