Pantai Pulang Sawal, Beach in Gunung Kidul, Indonesia
The white sand beach extends along the coast of Gunung Kidul, featuring limestone cliffs and clear blue waters of the Indian Ocean.
The beach received its original name Pulang Sawal from local residents, while some incorrectly refer to it as Indrayanti after a nearby restaurant owner.
Local fishermen maintain their traditional practices at Pulang Sawal Beach, launching their wooden boats daily to gather fresh seafood for nearby restaurants.
Visitors can access the beach through a well-maintained road system, with entrance fees of 15,000 rupiah per person and parking available for vehicles.
The beach features natural rock formations that create protected swimming areas, while the surrounding cliffs provide excellent vantage points for photography.
