Woippy Plage

Woippy Plage is an inland beach area with a lake featuring fine sand shores, located between Berlange Park and the Saint-Eloi neighborhood on a 20-hectare site. The water zone includes designated swimming areas surrounded by sports courts and recreation facilities.

The municipality created this facility in 2011 by converting a former industrial area into a public swimming and recreation destination. This transformation represented a major shift in how the community used the land.

The beach functions as a gathering space where locals enjoy beach volleyball, mini-golf, and outdoor fitness classes throughout the summer months. These activities shape the social rhythm of the community during the warm season.

The site is fully accessible with marked swimming zones monitored by certified lifeguards during peak summer months. Visitors should follow designated safety areas and check conditions before entering the water.

The site features a year-round synthetic ice rink about 200 square meters in size and a pirate ship play structure for children. These additions transform the location beyond summer swimming into a destination for different seasons.
