Tràigh Baile a' Mhuilinn, Beach in Argyll and Bute, Scotland

Tràigh Baile a' Mhuilinn, also known as Balevullin Beach, is a wide sandy beach on the northwest coast of the island of Tiree in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The shore is made up of fine, pale sand flanked by grassy dunes and rocky outcrops, with the open Atlantic directly in front.

The beach was once a working part of local life, where small fishing boats were hauled onto the sand at low tide and seaweed was gathered to fertilize nearby fields. Over time it lost that working role and became a place visited mainly for leisure.

The beach is reached by small roads from nearby villages on Tiree, and a parking area close by makes access straightforward. There are no shops or cafes on site, so bringing your own food and drinks is a good idea.

The beach's Gaelic name means roughly 'strand of the mill township', pointing to an old mill that once stood near this part of the coast. Mills like this were once central to daily life on the Inner Hebrides, used to grind grain for local communities.
