La Marinedda, Sand beach in Isola Rossa, Italy
La Marinedda is a sand beach located in Isola Rossa that curves between granite outcrops and opens to the Mediterranean with shallow, turquoise water. The seafloor slopes gradually, making it accessible for different visitor preferences.
The beach gained recognition in 2014 when Bell'Italia magazine named it among Sardinia's top ten beaches based on its natural qualities. This acknowledgment reflected growing interest in the area's coastal conservation.
The shoreline is framed by local plants adapted to the coastal environment, creating a natural border that gives the beach its distinctive appearance.
Wooden walkways provide easy access to the beach, and parking is available nearby for visitors. Dining options and equipment rental services are conveniently located close to the shoreline.
Each August, the beach becomes a surfing competition ground when the Frozen Open Surf Contest takes place here. The event draws athletes from surrounding regions who seek the best conditions for their sport.
