Spiaggia del Guree

Spiaggia del Guree is a sand beach along Lake Maggiore featuring a wide sandy shoreline surrounded by extensive reed beds and weeping willows that lean toward the water. The natural features along the shore create a distinctive landscape that defines the character of the place.

The beach was originally designated as a non-swimming zone until recent regulatory changes lifted this restriction. Since then it has developed into a publicly accessible swimming location.

The local community hosts regular musical events and festivals during summer months directly on the beach, making it a social gathering place for the wider region.

Swimming is permitted and parking is free, making a visit straightforward and accessible. During summer months a seasonal kiosk rents umbrellas and provides outdoor seating.

The extensive reed zones provide habitat for various water birds such as coots, moorhens, mallards, egrets and herons that can be regularly spotted in the shoreline areas. This bird-rich setting makes the beach noteworthy for observers of local wildlife.
