Plaża Sobótka

Plaża Sobótka sits along a former oxbow lake of the Vistula River and features a wide sandy shoreline with designated swimming zones. The site is bordered by steep escarpments and includes various sports facilities used throughout the year.

The Płock Rowing Society established itself at Sobótka Lake in 1882, launching a tradition of water sports competitions at this location. This early presence developed the site into a significant venue for regional and national sporting events.

The beach serves as a gathering place for water sports enthusiasts, particularly rowers who practice their traditions here. The shores reflect the local commitment to competitive water activities that connect residents through regular championships.

The beach is best visited during summer months when lifeguards are on duty and equipment rental is available. Visitors can easily reach the shore and find shaded spots to rest along with facilities for various recreational activities.

The beach sits directly below a 50-meter-high escarpment of the Vistula River and is the only legal swimming spot along this stretch of Poland's largest river. This geographic feature makes it a rare access point to the waterway in this region.
