S'Alguer Petit

S'Alguer Petit is a small beach in Palamós with coarse sand and pebbles along the Mediterranean coast. The cove is lined with old fishing houses and serves as a working harbor where small boats are moored and maintained.

This cove developed as a fishing settlement in the 19th century when boats were stationed here and families carried out their maritime work. The tradition has continued into the present day.

The beach has minimal facilities and no shops or restaurants, so bring water and food if you plan to spend time here. It remains a quiet spot that works best when you arrive prepared.

About a dozen traditional fishing structures stand directly on the beach as working spaces, not museum pieces or abandoned buildings. They show how fishing operates here today as an ongoing practice rather than a historical remnant.
