Playa Montezuma

Playa Montezuma is a wide sandy beach in Costa Rica, located in Puntarenas province on the Nicoya Peninsula. The beach stretches along the southern coast with warm water that stays pleasant for swimming year-round, bordered by thick jungle forests and rivers with waterfalls behind.

Few visitors know about hidden coves tucked under the cliffs like Piedra Colorado, where small beaches and snorkeling reefs await. These quiet spots are easy to reach but many tourists miss them because they focus on the more popular stretches of beach.
