Unicentro, building in Bogotá, Colombia
Unicentro is a shopping center located in the northern part of Bogotá, bringing together over two hundred fifty shops, restaurants, and entertainment areas across several floors. The complex features covered walkways and central elevators connecting all sections within a multi-story building.
The center opened during the seventies as the first large shopping facility of its kind in Bogotá, changing how residents shopped and spent leisure time. Its construction set the model for similar projects throughout Colombia.
The complex opens daily in the morning at nine and closes in the evening, while a supermarket remains accessible around the clock. Parking spaces are available on several underground levels, and bus stops sit directly outside the main entrance.
The center runs a loyalty scheme called Más Puntos Unicentro, where purchases translate into redeemable points. These points can later be exchanged for goods or services at participating stores within the complex.
