Głowa robotnika, Bronze bust in Stare Miasto, Poland.
Głowa robotnika is a bronze sculpture in the Stare Miasto district showing a carefully crafted face of a man at life scale. The work stands at Bulwar Dunikowskiego Xawerego and can be viewed from all sides.
Artist Xawery Dunikowski created this bronze work in 1946 as his first complete piece after World War II in the recovered Polish territories. The artwork emerged during a time of rebuilding and hope.
The sculpture presents a worker's face with focused intensity, displayed at a public location where visitors encounter it daily. People passing by experience the bronze figure as a powerful presence within the streetscape.
The work is located on Bulwar Dunikowskiego Xawerego, where it remains visible around the clock. The spot is easy to reach on foot and offers a good starting point for a walk through the city center.
The sculpture was originally placed at the Four Domes Pavilion before being relocated to its present location in 1982. This change of position reflects how urban space evolved over time.
