FUNLAB Rennes, Gaming center in La Mézière, France
FUNLAB Rennes is a gaming center in La Mézière that combines traditional karting with augmented reality across a 2000-square-meter track, offering different racing modes for players. The facility uses digital projections and sensors to enhance the driving experience and prevent collisions during play.
The facility came from converting a former postal sorting center into an entertainment complex created by two entrepreneurs from Rennes. This transformation gave new purpose to the old logistics building and turned it into a modern leisure destination.
The facility blends physical racing with digital gaming, representing how French entertainment venues combine traditional sports with modern technology. Visitors experience a mix where real driving and virtual elements coexist to enhance the game.
The center operates from Tuesday to Sunday, staying open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Plan ahead since hours are shorter on weekdays, allowing you to make the most of your visit.
Players control real karts while interacting with digital projections on the track, with sensors automatically preventing collisions between vehicles. This system allows genuine speed and driving without physical contact between karts.
