Branche Evasion, Tree climbing park in Ambérieu-en-Bugey, France
Branche Evasion is a tree climbing park with 18 different courses and a total of 220 elements spread across heights of 2 to 14 meters (6 to 45 feet) throughout an oak forest. The facility offers varying difficulty levels and allows visitors to navigate through the canopy using ladders, ropes, and platforms.
The park was created as an innovation project to enable new forms of forest exploration at height. A defining feature is the continuous safety system called Zaza, which allows visitors to keep their equipment connected throughout their visit.
The location promotes outdoor activity and offers courses for different age groups, from small children to adults. Visitors connect with nature through physical challenges and experience treetop exploration as a shared activity in the forest.
The park is open from April through November and provides free parking for all visitors. Video briefings are offered in multiple languages and all necessary safety equipment is provided on-site.
A standout feature is a 200-meter zip line that stretches across the forest canopy, offering visitors an extended glide through the treetops at speed. This attraction combines height, velocity, and views of the surrounding woodland into a single memorable experience.
