Circuit Paul Armagnac, Motorsport racing track in Nogaro, France
Circuit Paul Armagnac is a racing track measuring approximately 3.6 kilometers with two long straights connected by technical corners. The layout moves through the French countryside, mixing fast sections with demanding turns that test driver skill.
The track opened in 1960 as France's first purpose-built racing circuit. It was named after Paul Armagnac in 1962, following the death of this local racing driver.
The track sits within the wine-growing region of Gers, where racing sits alongside farming and vineyard traditions. Visitors experience how motorsport has become woven into the fabric of this rural corner of southwestern France.
Plan your visit around racing events and track experience days, as the facility is busiest when competitions or driving schools are running. Check ahead to confirm public access on your chosen day, as many dates are reserved for specific events.
The track layout was inspired by the legendary Sebring Circuit in Florida, where Armagnac had competed in the famous 12-hour races during the 1950s. This international influence gives the French course a distinctive connection to American racing history.
