Waldcamping am Brombachsee
Waldcamping am Brombachsee is a campground in Pleinfeld with approximately 670 marked pitches, surrounded by forest and just a few hundred meters from the lake. The spaces are level and large enough to accommodate tents, motorhomes, and trailers, with access to electrical hookups, water, and cleaned sanitary facilities with showers.
The campground was established to meet growing demand for recreational spaces in Bavaria and developed into one of the largest facilities in the region. Its creation is closely linked to the post-war tourism development of the Brombachsee area.
The campground is named after the nearby Brombachsee and serves as a gathering place for families seeking outdoor activities. Visitors use it as a base for exploring the natural landscape and the lake, reflecting the region's connection to water-based recreation.
The grounds are fenced and secure, with automatic license plate recognition for guests and offer wide roads for motorhomes and tents. The path to the lake runs through the forest and takes about 10-15 minutes on foot, or guests can drive to the parking area near the boat dock.
The campground offers small houses for rent that provide shelter in bad weather and are designed for those wanting to combine comfort with camping. This accommodation alternative allows guests to stay dry and warm even during rain or storms.
