Campingplatz am Freesenbruch is a campground on about 15 acres (6 hectares) in Zingst on the Baltic coast, offering around 360 pitches for tents, caravans, and motorhomes. The site is surrounded by woodland and open fields, with many pitches separated by hedges and all equipped with electricity connections.
The campground became known for quality standards and received major awards in the 2000s, including golden certifications for exemplary camping in 2000 and 2006. These recognitions marked its development into a leading camping facility in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern region.
The site is named after the Freesenbruch, a reference to the moorland landscape that characterizes the region. Visitors experience a lifestyle centered on nature and open-air living, where guests from different backgrounds naturally interact and share their camping experiences.
The campground sits about 100 meters from the beach and roughly a mile and a half (1.5 kilometers) from Zingst town center, both reachable on foot or by bike. The site has modern sanitary facilities, free Wi-Fi throughout, and bicycle rentals to help you explore the surrounding area.
The campground holds an Ecocamping award and sits at the edge of a major bird sanctuary, making it ideal for birdwatching. Visitors often spot rare bird species here and benefit from the undisturbed natural setting that adds to their stay.
