Mugello Verde
Mugello Verde is a campground in the Tuscan-Apennine area with extensive spaces for tents, motorhomes, and caravans plus electrical hookups. The grounds offer two bathroom blocks, a seasonal swimming pool, various lodging options including apartments and mobile homes for 2 to 6 people with kitchens and bathrooms, plus a playground and ping pong table.
The campground was established to provide comfortable lodging for visitors to the region and sits in an area long shaped by its rural character. Its location near the fifth stage of the famous Via degli Dei hiking trail links modern facilities with the region's historical walking routes.
The campground sits in the Mugello valley, a region shaped by farming traditions and rural life. Visitors can experience everyday Tuscan culture by walking through nearby villages and purchasing local foods and crafts at the on-site shop.
The grounds are easy to reach by car or motorhome with free parking provided. A complimentary shuttle service is available for arrivals by train or bus from San Piero a Sieve station, and pets are welcome.
The campground sits right at an important hiking route and guests receive a key from staff to a gate providing direct access to the fifth stage of the Via degli Dei trail. This makes it straightforward to begin a multi-day trek directly from the campground without needing to travel elsewhere first.
