The campground was established in the 1990s and preserves olive trees that are several centuries old. These ancient trees were a key food source for the local population across many generations.

The grounds are open from April through September, with check-in between 15:00 and 21:00 on weekdays and 14:00 to 21:00 on weekends. Visitors should be flexible with arrival times, especially if planning to arrive in the late afternoon.
The Cielo area offers spacious camping plots illuminated only by natural light with strict height restrictions to protect the ancient olive trees. These special conditions create a quiet environment without artificial lighting.
