La Fuente, Thermal campground in Los Baños de Fortuna, Spain.
La Fuente is a thermal campground in Los Baños de Fortuna, in the Murcia region of Spain, offering pitches, bungalows, and hotel rooms. Four outdoor pools fed by natural hot springs sit at the center of the site, each with different water features.
The hot springs at Fortuna were already in use during Roman times, when the area served as a stopping point for soldiers and travelers moving through the region. The site continued to attract visitors over the centuries and eventually grew into the organized thermal resort it is today.
The name "Los Baños de Fortuna" refers directly to the thermal baths that have defined this corner of Murcia for a long time. The pools are used by both locals and visitors who come specifically for the warm mineral water rather than as a casual stop.
The site is a short drive from the town of Fortuna and is signposted from the main road. An onsite restaurant and small shop mean you do not need to leave the grounds during your stay if you prefer to stay close to the pools.
The water emerges from the ground at around 52 degrees Celsius (about 126 degrees Fahrenheit), making it one of the warmest natural springs in Spain. It is cooled before reaching the pools so that bathing remains comfortable.
