Potato Head Beach Club
Potato Head Beach Club is a multi-level entertainment complex in Kerobokan Kelod, Bali, with bars, restaurants, and terraces on different floors. The complex sits directly by the beach, mixing indoor and outdoor spaces arranged around a central pool area.
The beach club opened in the early 2010s and was one of the first large-scale venues of its kind in Bali. Over the years, the concept grew to include a boutique hotel and regular cultural events alongside the original bar and dining spaces.
The name 'Potato Head' comes from an art project that gave the place a playful, casual identity, very different from a typical nightclub. The open layout with terraces on several levels makes it easy for people to wander around and strike up conversations.
The venue has its own parking area and is easy to find from the main road in Kerobokan. Coming in the late afternoon gives you time to settle before the evening crowd arrives and the terraces fill up.
Part of the building's facade is made from hundreds of salvaged wooden window shutters collected from old Balinese houses. These shutters were deliberately used as a building material, giving the structure an unusual handmade appearance that stands out from typical beach venues.
