Nelayan Beach

Nelayan Beach is a sandy shore with black volcanic sand along Bali's coast, where waves consistently reach the sand. Multiple pathways lead down from the main roads of Canggu to access the waterfront.

This shore was originally a modest fishing settlement with simple structures and boats anchored in the water. As Canggu developed into a tourist destination, the beach transformed into a mixed space serving both fishermen and visitors.

Local fishermen work their nets and boats here daily, giving the beach an authentic working harbor atmosphere. Their presence shapes how visitors experience the shoreline.

The beach is best visited in the morning when fishermen are active and waves are most consistent for water sports. Basic facilities like small food stalls are available, but bringing your own water and snacks is a good idea.

Fishing huts covered in colorful graffiti art line the shoreline, blending traditional maritime culture with street art. This unexpected combination creates an open-air art space alongside working fishing grounds.
