The venue emerged during Canggu's transformation from a fishing village into a coastal tourism destination in the early 2010s. This shift brought new types of business activity and visitor use to a previously quiet shoreline.

The bartenders create drinks that merge local ingredients like arak and tropical fruits with contemporary mixing techniques. These beverages show how the space offers both visitors and locals a fresh way to experience traditional flavors.
