Satya Dharma Temple

Satya Dharma Temple is a Chinese temple in Benoa Port that features traditional Chinese architectural elements with red and gold decorative patterns throughout. The buildings sit on a large plot of land near the sea and blend Chinese style with the local setting.

Construction began in 2006 and finished in 2012. The completion marked an important moment for the religious community at Benoa Port.

The temple brings together Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism while weaving in local Balinese practices. Visitors can see how these different spiritual traditions meet in the decorations and daily use of the space.

The temple is open daily for visitors and serves sailors, residents, and tourists. Wear good walking shoes since there are many stairs and some uneven ground to navigate.

Visitors often leave offerings for Tian Shang Sheng Mu, the protective goddess of seafarers, at this temple. This practice shows how sailors from around the world seek blessings for safe passage at this location.
