Bingin Beach

Bingin Beach is a sandy shore in Pecatu backed by steep limestone cliffs and characterized by green-blue water with regular surf. The coastline features rock outcrops and natural formations that create varied conditions along its length.

The beach became known to surfers starting in the 1970s when word spread about its consistent waves and remote location. This discovery gradually transformed the area from a quiet fishing village into a tourism hub.

Local fishermen still use this beach daily, and families gather here in the evenings to watch the sunset. The place remains central to daily life in the village despite growing tourism.

Access requires walking down steep stairs and narrow pathways from the clifftop parking area to reach the sand. Arriving early or visiting in late afternoon helps avoid crowds and heat during peak hours.

Low tide reveals shallow pools among the rocks where small fish and sea creatures gather naturally. These temporary pools offer a chance to observe marine life up close without any diving equipment.
