Thomas Beach

Thomas Beach stretches along a narrow strip of white sand bordered by limestone cliffs, with clear waters where local fishing boats operate. The cove is relatively small and sheltered, accessible from the parking area via a series of steps.

The beach takes its name from Thomas Homestay, a former lodging that once operated on the cliffs above. This establishment left its mark on the local area and its identity.

Food vendors along the shore prepare traditional Indonesian dishes like Nasi Goreng in small wooden structures called warungs, bringing local cooking traditions directly to visitors.

Reaching the sand requires descending about 130 steps from the parking area, so wear comfortable shoes for the walk down and back up. Bring cash, as local vendors do not accept card payments.

Many visitors mistake this place for the nearby Padang Padang beach, yet it holds its own distinct identity and story. Local records confirm it has rightfully claimed its separate name rather than being merely an extension of the more famous neighbor.
