Green Bowl Beach

Green Bowl Beach is a coastal beach in Ungasan featuring white sandy shores backed by tall limestone cliffs that rise dramatically from the water. The shoreline is dotted with natural caves and rock formations along Bali's southern tip.

The beach remained undeveloped during Bali's tourism boom, avoiding commercial establishments and maintaining its natural character. The demanding access route through steep staircases served as a natural barrier to intensive development.

Local residents perform traditional rituals here and leave offerings in recognition of the site's spiritual importance to the community. The beach remains a place where these sacred practices continue to be observed.

To reach the beach, you need to descend around 300 concrete steps, which takes time and physical effort. Bring your own water and snacks since there are minimal facilities or food options available on-site.

During low tide, natural pools of water form along the shore where you can spot small marine creatures. Monkeys inhabit the nearby caves and cliffs and are often visible during your visit.
