La Pêcherie d'Aurit

La Pêcherie d'Aurit is a farmhouse and agricultural education center set on a 32-hectare property in Hagetaubin that combines forest trails, animal areas, and a fishing pond. The site displays several types of livestock and wildlife species in their surroundings.

The farm has been run by five generations of farmers who have kept traditional agricultural methods alive. The family gradually transformed it into a modern educational center while blending these age-old practices with contemporary learning purposes.

The place takes its name from its historical fishing tradition and still reflects the community's deep connection to water and farming today. You can see this heritage everywhere, from the ponds to the cultivated fields that shape the landscape.

The farm is accessible on foot with marked forest trails and clearly organized activity areas throughout the grounds. Bring sturdy shoes and be prepared for transitions between open fields and shaded woodland sections.

Visitors can fish for trout in the pond without needing any permit, something rarely allowed at other educational farms. You can also try horseback riding on forest trails, experiencing the landscape in a different way than walking.
