Founded by the Andorran Association of Comics, Illustration and Animation, the museum opened with Antonio Bernal's inaugural exhibition titled Literary Jewels, later hosting renowned creators like Alfonso Font, Ana Miralles, Joan Mundet, and Carlos Ezquerra throughout its development.
The museum organizes the annual La Massana Comic convention since 1997, featuring round table discussions with authors, film screenings, creation workshops, and sales spaces that attract diverse audiences interested in comic book culture and graphic storytelling traditions.
Open Tuesday through Saturday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with free admission, the museum offers guided and self-guided tours for groups up to 40 people, with multilingual information services in Catalan, Spanish, French, and English for international visitors.
The museum operates exclusively when exhibitions are actively running and maintains a specialized collection of VHS and DVD films alongside art books related to comic creation, making it a comprehensive audiovisual resource center for comic book research and education.
