The Many Sides of Charlie Harper, Public sculpture in Cincinnati, United States.
The installation features geometric cubes arranged to display four different Charley Harper artworks when viewed from various angles, creating an interactive visual experience that changes perspective depending on where visitors stand.
Created by artist Micah Landers in honor of Charley Harper, who lived in Springfield Township for nearly five decades and developed his distinctive minimal realism style while teaching at the Art Academy of Cincinnati.
The sculpture celebrates Harper's wildlife art philosophy of simplifying nature into geometric shapes and bold colors, reflecting his belief that complex natural scenes could be communicated through minimal details and clean lines.
Located at 893 West Galbraith Road at the busy intersection of Winton and Galbraith roads, the sculpture is accessible to visitors and includes QR codes that provide augmented reality experiences about Harper's work.
Four Harper artworks including Ladybug, Cardinal Closeup, Cool Carnivore tiger, and a deer from his National Parks series were selected by community vote to be featured on the rotating cube faces.
