Muelle Uno
Muelle Uno is a shopping and leisure area in the Malaga port with views of the sea and the city. The space has wide walkways, modern buildings with glass and bright colors, many shops selling clothing and jewelry, and numerous restaurants and cafes mostly facing the waterfront.
The area opened in 2011 and quickly became a favorite spot for locals and visitors. It was built on former port land and redesigned to create a modern space while keeping its connection to the sea.
The name Muelle Uno comes from Spanish and means Pier Number One, a reference to its past as a working port. Today you can observe local habits: people sit at cafes for long conversations, stroll with friends, and dine outdoors while enjoying the seaside setting.
The area is easy to explore on foot and straightforward to walk from one end to the other, gradually discovering many small shops and kiosks. Many visitors come in late afternoon or evening when the lights come on, and it sits close to other Malaga attractions.
The area is home to the Centre Pompidou, the first branch of the famous French art museum outside France, featuring bright colors and creative design. Visitors can see a large modern art collection and attend special exhibitions.
