Camping AL PLAN-Dolomites
Camping AL PLAN-Dolomites is a campground in San Vigilio di Marebbe, surrounded by the distinctive pale and jagged peaks of the Dolomites. Located at the edge of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers spacious pitches with electrical and gas hookups, and optional water and drainage connections.
The region has a long history of settlement by the Ladin people, whose culture dates back thousands of years. The campground itself is one of the first in South Tyrol to earn certification for responsible tourism, representing a newer form of sustainable use of this mountain area.
San Vigilio is located in the homeland of the Ladin people, who have preserved their own language and traditions for thousands of years. Throughout the surrounding villages and sunny slopes, you can see old farms and houses that show how people have lived and worked the land here for generations.
The campground is just a few minutes walk from the village center of San Vigilio, where restaurants, cafes, shops, and bars are easily accessible on foot. A free shuttle connects the site to the nearby Kronplatz ski area, and a bus pass allows you to explore the wider region without a car.
The campground features an integrated ski depot where guests can dry equipment and boots after a day on the slopes. This is a practical and often overlooked amenity that makes stays during the winter season significantly more comfortable.
